The Market is a building that is found in every city. In it, you can purchase and sell different types of cargo, such as food, medicine, alcohol, jewelry, etc. The prices, goods, and amounts vary between cities and change constantly, but generally stay pretty close to the same. Goods that are imported will run out eventually until replenished by NPC caravans. Each town can change industries, resulting in changing import/export list (so keep an eye on the News and always check the Economy).

Trivia[]

Sometimes a town can go bankrupt from buying excessive amounts of goods from caravans (displayed as 0$/citizen in the Economy tab). A bankrupt town quickly abandons every need, resulting in every goods' price dropping to minimum, while the medicine use (and price) will rise very high. After a couple of days, its economy will start to slowly recover.
